Sooooo ....

Fri Dec 5, 2008, 5:31 PM
Finals eh? And that makes me very productive online, since I have every excuse to procrastinate.

I started uploading some of my old dolls that people have been bugging me to put up. I really should work on my new site layout so I can get that updated. In the mean time, however, uploading deviations is much less work.

I still have most of my more recent dolls to go, so expect another flood of them soon.

Also, Eeeeeeee! I got an Asus Eee 1000 and promptly installed Ubuntu Eee on it. <3 More happyful rants later, maybe. Also planning on installing SUSE GNOME on my desktop, so I can help a friend troubleshoot stuff.

... when your first entry in over a year is a tag. Go figure. Can you tell I use my DA account mainly for stalking people?

Onwards!

1. Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, and find line 4.
"said. Cottman IV was described as primitive in the little"
Exile's Song by Marion Zimmer Bradley, paperback, 1996 edition
While that was the first book I grabbed, the closest would be:
"is very simi-"
Neverwinter Nights Gold handbook

2.Stretch your left arm out as far as you can.
My closet door, if I lean over. Open, as usual. Mostly air.

3. What is the last thing you watched on TV?
Erm, um, Foyle's War, on an actual TV. Good series.

4. Without looking, guess what time it is.
Er, 10pm ish?

5. Now look at the clock. What is the actual time?
9:53 I must confess. I did this while reading Zai's, and I remembered the time and added a few minutes to it to get my guess.

6. With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
Music emanating from my computer? Me typing? Faintly cars on the road

7. When did you last step outside? What were you doing?
Walking from SFU Surrey to the car, looking for license plates

10. Did you dream last night?
Nope. Rarely remember them, anyway. I'm reading a good book about a girl who's having some pretty wild hallucinations/dreams, though.

11. When did you last laugh?
A few minutes ago, reading Zai's tag. XP Now she's going to look at me weird and ask what's so funny.

12. What are on the walls you are in?
NaNo poster, window, curtains, two butterfly posters (high quality/detail!), two dragon posters (fuzzy and printed), a unicorn poster (fuzzy), birds drawn by my godmother, cross-stitch "birth certificate", picture of Mary, crucifix, religious poem, three desolate cats, a slew of sweatshirts and my funky parrot calendar.

13. Seen anything weird lately?
Define weird. Do mental images count? Actually, not really, though defintions of weird may change that.

14. What do you think of this quiz?
Humorous. Occasionally pensive.

15. What is the last film you saw?
Film.... hmm...Lion King II, I think.

16. If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you think?
O__O Cool! How? Is it a reproducible phenomenon?

17. Tell me something about you that I don't know.
Who am I talking to? 'Cause that changes. Hmm... -runs though several dozen things people already know about- I'm about half-way though my second journal, and the ratio of positive to negative is slowly shifting towards the former.

18. If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
Just one thing? Presumably to make it better... make people understand each other clearly. Less misunderstandings eliminates a lot of problems.

19. Do you like to dance?
Yes. Solo, spontaneous, and with partners. However, I rarely find people (or music!) to dance to. I think most of my friends are either too shy or read too much into it.

20. Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?
Honestly? No clue. Adrijana, Aliera, Hwesta or any multitude of names, though I doubt I'd actually name her after a book character. I like names to suit characters/people, and infants don't have a personality.

21. Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?
Vlad(imir), Andrew, see above.

22. Would you ever consider living abroad?
Yup. I'd rather like to live somewhere in Europe, middle east (to use that Arabic I'm picking up) and far east.

23. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Yes?

I... exist?

I joined DA absolutely ages ago, and never really did anything here. Part of the problem was that it took me forever to figure out how to submit art! Seems obvious now, but there you have it.

So now I'm going through the art that made it onto the computer and seeing which ones deserve to be shown to the world. There's not many that I like enough to be sumitted as Deviations, rather than scraps. And there's still more that never quite made it to scraps, which can probably be found on my site. If you're curious, browse there!

So hopefully I'll be submitting more stuff here. Aluve!
